It was funny reading that there were TENS OF THOUSANDS of protestors yesterday at the May 22nd march in downtown Montreal. Funny because I stood in one of the largest crowds I’ve ever been in and all the aerial photos I’ve seen so far showed it engulfing the Place des Arts at its start. As it moved, it grew and expanded along countless city blocks. By the time I went to bed last night I found it curious that you still reported tens of thousands when clearly that number was more like HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS. I admit, in many of your reports you talked about how MASSIVE it is. Unfortunately, you then spent most of your articles talking about the 1000 night time protestors that turned violent, even though these nightly reoccurring events (26 nights and counting) had little to do with the massive showing of popular solidarity against the Quebec government and their controversial new law. This morning, we still don’t even have an estimate from you or any source other than the protest organizers. To tell you the truth I trust their word over yours any day, but let’s just say that your repeated claim of tens of thousands is insulting and reeks of something far more sinister than simply not being able to count.
