THIS IS GROSS.
CAN THERE BE SUCH A THING AS THE CEREALIST MOVEMENT IN FINE ART?
AS IN:
CAP’N CRUNCH’S USE OF PIRATE MOTIFS, EYE-POPPING GRAPHISM, AND YELLOW DYE #6 WERE HALLMARKS OF THE CEREALIST FORM.

EXCITED TO SEE THIS WHEN I VISIT IN APRIL.
Hey, Internets. The Chicago Art Institute currently has a great exhibit titled Light Years: Conceptual Art and the Photograph, 1964–1977 (running till March 11th). The MCA has an exhibit opening Feb 11th and running till June 3rd titled This Will Have Been: Art, Love & Politics in the 1980s that also looks to be pretty interesting.* You could see the works you’ve only reblogged up until now! Now, I’m not saying you’re a total My______ with no Friendsters if you miss out, but I do happen to have a guest room and membership at both museums which means you get in free. Spring breaaaaaaaak (titties)!
