Pleasant day spent reading about post-Soviet Central Asia and writing an essay on a new video installation by my favourite Kazakh. Almagul is one fierce woman. Here she is doing her thing with a handsome local of the Aralkum generation. I rarely gush about my job, but today I feel enormously privileged that (a) I get to work with interesting artists (b) I get paid to learn about the world (c) I can discuss at length how acceptable foxes are as general attire or accoutrement.
